Terms & Conditions

Authorization agreement attachment | Residential and Commercial Services

These Terms & Conditions supplement the customer-approved estimate and signed ServiceTitan work authorization forresidential and commercial services, repairs, and installations. The approved scope, pricing, written special terms, andapplicable law control where inconsistent with these general terms.

  1. Work Authorization and Changes
The customer authorizes work described in the approved estimate or agreement. Work not included in that scope, including unforeseen repairs or changes requested by the customer, requires additional approval. Changes will be documented and approved in writing when required by law.
  2. Prices, Deposits, and Payments
Prices and payment schedules are as stated in the approved estimate or contract. Unless otherwise agreed in writing, payment is due when work is completed. New door purchases generally require a 50% deposit. Deposits may be applied to special-order materials and scheduling; any restrictions on refunds are subject to statutory cancellation rights, applicable law, and the specific signed contract. No deposit is automatically forfeited where doing so would violate law.
  3. Overdue Invoices and Collection Costs
An unpaid balance remaining 30 days after the invoice date may accrue interest at 1.5% per month (18% annually), or the maximum lawful rate, whichever is lower, subject to applicable law and the signed agreement. If collection or legal action becomes necessary, the customer agrees to pay reasonable collection expenses, court costs, filing fees, and attorney fees incurred in recovering properly owed amounts, only to the extent permitted by applicable law and an enforceable agreement, and awarded by a court where required.
  4. Payment Cards on File
For past-due, undisputed amounts associated with approved work, A1 Door Company may charge a saved payment card provided the cardholder has authorized that card to be stored and used for those future charges, and subject to payment processor, card-network, and applicable legal requirements. This permission is not conditional on having paid a deposit. A card being on file alone does not constitute such consent. The customer may contact A1 Door Company about a billing dispute.
  5. Cancellation and Three-Business-Day Rights
For transactions subject to applicable state or federal cancellation laws, customers may cancel their purchase before midnight of the third business day following the transaction date, without penalty or obligation. To exercise this right, customers may submit written notice of cancellation to A1 Door Company within the applicable cancellation period. Nothing in this agreement limits any cancellation rights provided by law.
  6. Workmanship Warranty and Service Repairs
A1 Door Company warrants covered workmanship against defects directly caused by improper installation or work performed by A1 Door Company. For new residential garage door installations, the existing new-door agreement states a one-year workmanship warranty unless otherwise specified in writing. Other services may have different written warranty periods. The applicable A1 Door Company in-house warranty document controls coverage, duration, exclusions, and claim procedures, subject to applicable law. For service and repair visits, workmanship coverage pertains to the work actually performed; inspecting, adjusting, lubricating, or repairing one component does not create a warranty on unrelated existing components or the entire garage door system.
  7. Product Warranties and Existing Equipment
Product and manufacturer warranties are separate from A1 Door Company’s workmanship warranty and are governed by their respective written terms. When existing openers, wall controls, sensors, wiring, remotes, keypads, or other accessories remain in use, A1 Door Company does not guarantee their continued performance or compatibility with new equipment unless expressly included in the approved scope. Any necessary replacement, upgrade, or additional work requires customer approval. This provision does not excuse damage or incompatibility directly caused by A1 Door Company’s improper work.
  8. Property Conditions, Weatherseals, and Electrical Work
The customer agrees to provide safe, reasonable access to the work area and disclose known hazards. For garage door installation, the work area, track locations, and equipment access must be cleared before the scheduled visit. The customer is responsible for framing or opening dimensions supplied or prepared by others unless framing is expressly within A1 Door Company’s scope. Existing floor irregularities, settlement, and uneven openings may affect bottom-seal performance. Garage doors and their weatherseals are not guaranteed to be completely watertight or airtight; wind-driven rain, standing water, drainage conditions, and uneven surfaces may permit entry of water, air, light, or debris. Drainage, grading, waterproofing, concrete work, and additional sealing are excluded unless expressly included in the approved scope. These limitations do not excuse improper installation. Unless otherwise expressly stated in the approved estimate or contract, A1 Door Company is not responsible for electrical work, including installation, relocation, repair, or modification of outlets, wiring, circuits, breakers, or electrical service. The customer is responsible for ensuring adequate, properly functioning electrical service is available for the equipment being installed.
  9. Cosmetic Conditions and Finish Disturbance
Differences between new and existing doors or parts may occur due to age, weathering, color fading, or manufacturer design changes. Proper removal of existing doors, trim, weatherseal, adhesive, caulk, or hardware may expose unfinished areas or cause incidental disturbance to aged paint and finishes despite reasonable care. Painting, paint matching, drywall patching, trim refinishing, and cosmetic restoration are excluded unless expressly included in the approved estimate or contract. A1 Door Company remains responsible for damage directly caused by its negligence or defective workmanship to the extent required by law.
  10. Wi-Fi, Vehicle Controls, and Connected Features
Wi-Fi-enabled openers, mobile applications, smart-home integrations, and vehicle-operated controls depend on third-party devices, software, internet service, and compatibility. Unless expressly included in the approved scope, A1 Door Company does not guarantee ongoing Wi-Fi connectivity, cloud-service availability, vehicle pairing, or compatibility with every thirdparty system. This provision does not excuse defects in equipment or installation that A1 Door Company is responsible for.
  11. Scheduling, Materials, and Delays
Estimated arrival, delivery, and installation dates are not guarantees. Weather, concealed conditions, manufacturer delays, access limitations, and other events outside reasonable control may affect scheduling. A1 Door Company will communicate material changes and comply with applicable contractual and statutory requirements. Any rescheduling fee must be disclosed and agreed to as applicable.
  12. Permits, Safety, and Limitation of Liability
Where required, A1 Door Company will comply with applicable permit, inspection, and zoning requirements. A1 Door Company is responsible for harm directly caused by its negligence, improper installation, or defective workmanship to the extent required by law. A1 Door Company is not responsible for pre-existing conditions, normal wear and tear, unrelated equipment failures, structural deficiencies, customer misuse, unauthorized modifications, or events outside its reasonable control, except to the extent caused by A1 Door Company. To the extent permitted by law, A1 Door Company is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including lost profits, lost business, or loss of use, arising from circumstances for which it is not legally responsible. Nothing here limits nonwaivable rights or applicable workmanship warranties.
  13. Concerns and Opportunity to Correct
Customers should promptly notify A1 Door Company of concerns, billing disputes, or suspected workmanship defects, and provide a reasonable opportunity for inspection and correction before engaging another provider, except in an emergency or when immediate measures are reasonably necessary to prevent injury or additional property damage. This provision does not waive statutory rights, restrict lawful remedies, or diminish the applicable written warranty.
  14. Terms, Documents, and Contact
The approved estimate or contract, applicable warranty documents, these Terms & Conditions, and any legally required notices should be furnished as required for the transaction. Current general terms are intended to be available at https://a-1doorco.com/terms-and-conditions/. The customer-specific signed contract governs any agreed changes. Customers may contact A1 Door Company using the contact information on their estimate or invoice.

Important: This general terms attachment is not a substitute for the signed estimate or contract, separate cardholder stored-credential consent, or any legally required transaction-specific cancellation notice.
