Rollers and Tracks

Things to do yourself between professional services:

The lifting cables run from the bottom corners of the door up to the drums mounted on the torsion bar. Over time, cables fray at the point where they attach to the bottom bracket – that junction takes enormous stress every cycle.

Look at the cable near the bottom bracket once or twice a year. If you see any fraying, unraveling, or kinking, stop using the door and call for service. Cables under spring tension are dangerous to replace without the right tools and training.

Rollers and Hinges
